What’s new
Every InBilling release, newest first: what was added, what was fixed, and the installer for that version. Updates are free and never touch your data — a new version installs over the old one and your books carry straight over.
InBilling 1.6.0 · 12 September 2026 · 211 MB · Windows 10 & 11, 64-bit
- Bills open as a print preview — the sheet exactly as it will print, on a grey desk, with print and save-as-PDF at the top and a zoom (fit page, 50–150%) that the machine remembers.
- Ledger statements page by page — a customer’s or client’s ledger is the printed statement cut into A4 pages, Page 1 of 3 with previous and next, and Print and Download PDF put out every page.
- Year end, resync and verify are each one step — a power cut in the middle leaves the books exactly as they were.
- Every figure the program works out — a payment, a bill, a ledger, the year end — now comes from one shared rule set, the same one the coming phone app uses. Nothing changes in what is calculated; every figure was proved the same before the switch.
- Sign-in slows down after wrong passwords: five wrong and a fifteen-minute wait, growing each time, with a warning before each.
- inbilling.in in small type at the foot of bills and statements on the trial and for thirty days after activation; after that, Settings › Licence has a box to turn it off.
- Smaller: Add item is the dark button on the bill, the inward entry and the client bill; Edit and Delete on a line are proper buttons; the inward entry asks before it saves.

- Restore from backup works again for backups taken on older versions. Anyone on 1.5.8 should update.
- The help bubble — a round ? at the bottom right of every screen, or F1 from anywhere. Type what you want to do in your own words — “customer paid me”, “enter rent”, “gst return”, “udhaar” — and it names the screen and opens it. Nothing leaves the computer.
- Another business on the same computer: Settings › Books on this computer. Each book has its own 15-day trial and its own licence; a computer can start three trial books.
- Backups taken on the trial are kept; restoring them is part of the licensed software.
- Every field has an (i) saying what it is for, and Enter moves to the next field on every form.

InBilling 1.5.8 · 12 September 2026 · no longer offered — it cannot restore a backup; 1.5.9 fixed that
- Three editions: Basic, Advanced and Advanced Plus, in the one installer. Switch freely between them on the trial from Settings › Trial edition. A licensed book can step up from Advanced to Advanced Plus with a second code, but never back down to Basic.
- Setup asks two questions — registered under GST? a commission agent? — and recommends an edition with the reason.
- Barcodes for a retail shop (Advanced Plus): give any item a shop barcode at a click, print label sheets or a 50×25 mm roll, and scan at the counter with a USB scanner.
- More than one book on one computer, each with its own business details, master administrator, recovery key and licence.
- Opening balances for clients as well as customers; Ctrl+L locks the screen; Enter walks to Save on every form.
- H&L Solutions’ name, number and email on the sign-in screen, About, Licence and recovery pages — never on your bills, which carry your business alone.
Install over the top. Nothing moves.
Download the new version
From this page or the Download page. It is the same installer for every edition.
Run it on the same computer
It finds the version already installed, replaces the program and leaves your books where they are. Your licence stays valid.
Open InBilling as usual
If the new version has anything to migrate it does so the first time it opens, and tells you. Take a backup first if you like — Settings › Backup › Backup now.
