Terms of use

1. The licence

On payment, H&L Solutions grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use one copy of InBilling on one computer. The licence does not expire and carries no renewal fee. It is tied to the installation it was issued against; moving to another computer requires a fresh code from us, which we provide free of charge.

You may not resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the software, nor attempt to defeat, reverse-engineer or work around its licensing.

2. The trial

The trial runs for 15 days from installation with every feature enabled. When it ends, data already entered remains readable, printable and exportable; new entry is blocked until a licence code is activated. Nothing is deleted at the end of a trial.

3. Your data is yours

You own everything you enter. We claim no rights over it and have no access to it. It is stored on your computer in a database encrypted with a key derived from credentials held only by you.

You are responsible for your backups and for your recovery key. The software provides scheduled and manual backups and shows the recovery key during setup; using them is your responsibility. If the recovery key is lost and the installation is lost, the data cannot be recovered — not by you and not by us. This is a property of the encryption, not a policy choice, and we cannot make an exception.

4. Updates and support

Updates to InBilling are provided free of charge for licensed installations and install over the existing version, migrating your data in place. Support is provided by telephone, WhatsApp and email during ordinary business hours in India. We do not promise a fixed response time, but in practice you will usually get a person the same day.

5. Compliance is yours

InBilling is a tool for producing documents and figures. It is built to follow the GST rules as we understand them, and its arithmetic is extensively tested — but it is not a substitute for a chartered accountant, and we are not your tax adviser.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for what you file, and for meeting your obligations under the CGST Act, the rules made under it, and any other law that applies to your business. Check your first month’s output against your own records or your accountant’s before relying on it.

6. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as it is. We warrant that it will perform substantially as described on this website, and we will make reasonable efforts to correct defects reported to us. Beyond that, to the extent permitted by law, we give no other warranty.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the software is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

7. Ending the licence

You may stop using the software at any time. We may terminate the licence if it is resold, redistributed or its licensing is deliberately circumvented. Termination does not affect your ownership of the data you entered, which remains on your computer.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
