Download InBilling — free for 15 days
Everything works. No card, no sign-up, no email verification, no feature held back. On the sixteenth day your records stay readable and printable; you simply cannot enter anything new until a licence code goes in.
InBilling 1.6.0 · 12 September 2026 · 211 MB · Windows 10 & 11, 64-bit
- Bills open as a print preview — the sheet exactly as it will print, on a grey desk, with print and save-as-PDF at the top and a zoom (fit page, 50–150%) that the machine remembers.
- Ledger statements page by page — a customer’s or client’s ledger is the printed statement cut into A4 pages, Page 1 of 3 with previous and next, and Print and Download PDF put out every page.
- Year end, resync and verify are each one step — a power cut in the middle leaves the books exactly as they were.
- Every figure the program works out — a payment, a bill, a ledger, the year end — now comes from one shared rule set, the same one the coming phone app uses. Nothing changes in what is calculated; every figure was proved the same before the switch.
- Sign-in slows down after wrong passwords: five wrong and a fifteen-minute wait, growing each time, with a warning before each.
- inbilling.in in small type at the foot of bills and statements on the trial and for thirty days after activation; after that, Settings › Licence has a box to turn it off.
- Smaller: Add item is the dark button on the bill, the inward entry and the client bill; Edit and Delete on a line are proper buttons; the inward entry asks before it saves.

Four steps, about five minutes
Run the setup file
Windows may show a blue box saying “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. This is normal — see the note below.
Tell it about the business
Business name, address and phone; your GST number if you have one; whether this is a shop or a commission agent; and a username and password for yourself. That account is the owner’s. Write it down — nobody can reset it for you.
Write down the recovery key
It shows you a recovery key and asks you to type part of it back. Do not rush this screen. Your books are encrypted from the first bill, and if this computer is ever lost or replaced, that key is the only thing in the world that opens them again.
Start billing
Fifteen days of everything working, free. The home screen carries a short first-day checklist — business details, first item, first customer, first bill, backup folder — that ticks itself off and then disappears.
System requirements
| Operating system | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
|---|---|
| Memory | 4 GB (8 GB comfortable) |
| Disk | About 600 MB, plus room for your books and backups |
| Internet | Not required — not to install, not to run, not to activate |
| Printer | Any Windows printer. A4, A5, A6 or thermal |
| Backup | A pen drive or a second disk is strongly recommended |
About the Windows warning. The installer is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen shows a warning the first few times it is downloaded. We would rather tell you that here than have you discover it and wonder. Click More info › Run anyway. If you would prefer, call us and we will walk you through the install on the phone.
Already using Prime Billing? Run this installer straight over it. It finds the old program, removes it and installs itself — one entry on the Start menu and your books exactly where they were. Do not uninstall by hand first.
What to try before you decide
Three things that will tell you more than an hour of clicking around.
Print a real bill
Enter a bill you actually wrote last week and print it on the printer you actually use, at the paper size you actually use. Printing is where billing software usually disappoints, so test it first, not last.
Re-enter a filed month
If you are registered, put in a month you have already filed and compare the GST report against the return you sent. Fifteen days is long enough to do that properly.
Press F1 and ask it something
Type what you want to do in your own words — “customer paid me”, “enter rent”, “gst return”, “udhaar” — and the help bubble names the screen and opens it. If it cannot answer you, that tells you something too.
What changed in 1.6.0
Updates are free and never touch your data — the new version installs over the old one and your books carry straight over. Take a backup first if you like.

PreviousInBilling 1.5.9 · 12 September 2026 · 211 MB
- Restore from backup works again for backups taken on older versions. Anyone on 1.5.8 should update.
- The help bubble — a round ? at the bottom right of every screen, or F1 from anywhere. Type what you want to do in your own words — “customer paid me”, “enter rent”, “gst return”, “udhaar” — and it names the screen and opens it. Nothing leaves the computer.
- Another business on the same computer: Settings › Books on this computer. Each book has its own 15-day trial and its own licence; a computer can start three trial books.
- Backups taken on the trial are kept; restoring them is part of the licensed software.
- Every field has an (i) saying what it is for, and Enter moves to the next field on every form.
PreviousInBilling 1.5.8 · 12 September 2026 · 211 MB
- Three editions: Basic, Advanced and Advanced Plus, in the one installer. Switch freely between them on the trial from Settings › Trial edition. A licensed book can step up from Advanced to Advanced Plus with a second code, but never back down to Basic.
- Setup asks two questions — registered under GST? a commission agent? — and recommends an edition with the reason.
- Barcodes for a retail shop (Advanced Plus): give any item a shop barcode at a click, print label sheets or a 50×25 mm roll, and scan at the counter with a USB scanner.
- More than one book on one computer, each with its own business details, master administrator, recovery key and licence.
- Opening balances for clients as well as customers; Ctrl+L locks the screen; Enter walks to Save on every form.
- H&L Solutions’ name, number and email on the sign-in screen, About, Licence and recovery pages — never on your bills, which carry your business alone.
Only if we ask you to
The newest version is always the right one to install. These stay here so that, if an update ever misbehaves on your machine, you can go back to the version you were on while we fix it — call us first, and we will tell you which.

How buying works
Open Settings › Licence
The screen shows an installation code generated by that machine. It is unique to that one computer.
Send us the code
WhatsApp, call or email it to H&L Solutions on +91 85532 01741 or orders@inbilling.in.
We send a licence code back
Generated offline against that installation code with our private key. It works on that computer and on no other.
Paste it into the same screen
Activated. No internet needed for any part of this — the software verifies the signature locally and never calls anywhere.
